What are we up to?

With all 5 kids at home busy with work and leisure activities our home has been very busy. Brittany is leaving tomorrow morning to Snow College. We have been busy working on getting all she needs to "survive" being away from home. She doesn't know quite what to think about moving and living on her own. It will be different but a good change.
Our neighbor Loke, was in the Demolition Derby in Nephi. Heidi helped her get the car ready and enjoyed watching it along with Lynn who got to be in the Pitt Crew for her. Loke got $100 for hitting the flag in the center and got 2nd place. Great Job Loke!!

Sam Naugle, aka: another son, got home from his mission a month ago (Florianapolis Brazil). We have had a fun time spending time with him. He let us cut his hair which will be fun to do when Quinn comes home.

For Family Night we had a paintball war in the backyard, a perfect area to play.

Box Gardens

This was a project that we have been wanting to be done ever since we moved in. Next year we will put in 4 more boxes, along with gravel in between, which will be a total of 8 boxes. We have been working on this project for the past 3 weeks because of the weather, it has taken longer than expected. Its better late than never! Hurray, it is finally happening.

Spring has Sprung

The winter is over, everyone is happy, days are getting longer, it's warming up! Birds chirping, green feet from fresh cut lawns, the smell of barbeque's in the backyard, kids playing ball, time for yard work. It is also the time to come out of hibernation; after having been stuck indoors for the winter; to weed the gardens, to plant some seeds and smell the flowers.
What does that mean? That Spring has Sprung! The pictures below are pictures Brittany took for a photo assignment for her class ( In our backyard and at the Nusery at Lynn's work). Thought you guys would like to see the joys of spring

WATER FIGHT

There were too many pictures to not put in, so there are a few more. Enjoy!
Lynn dumping on a bucket on Jodi

David lets see if you grow with more water
while Lynn distracted Jodi and Uncle Jon, David tied the hose so they couldn't get anywhere.
After Uncle Jon fell down from running in circles, Lynn soaked him with the hose
David turning Uncle Jon's hose off

Jeff cooling off
watching is very entertaining!

After a long day of fixing things around the house and working doing Saturday chores, we found a way to cool off. We knew this was going to be a good water fight because it was brother against brother. Uncle Jon and his daughter Jodi, then Lynn, David and Jeff. Yes Lynn did wear shorts one of the few times we will see him in them. It was fun watching this water fight in progress and for those who were wondering, those who sat on the side line did get a little wet. Uncle Jon did manage to dump water on the deck and got us a bit wet. Thanks Uncle Jon, haha!
